The Facilties Capital Improvement Program is a multi-faceted program designed to keep the SBCUSD school board, the community and potential vendors informed about improvements and construction taking place on SBCUSD school and administrative buildings.

By keeping the community informed on improvements and construction projects going on in our schools and providing up to date information to potential and current contractors to attract the most qualified vendors and suppliers, we are working toward providing the best learning environment for our students achieving the mission of the San Bernardino City Unified School District.

Green Technology Magazine highlighted the District’s efforts to use high performance building standards at 9 new schools and 36 modernization projects. The District collaborated with a green schools consultant on the design elements. The projects are funded through state financial hardship and high performance incentive grants.
