Duties

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Removing graffiti
• Preparing new and previously painted surfaces for painting
• Applying protective and decorative coatings
• Erecting scaffolding to support other maintenance departments
• Using a wide variety of paints (oil, latex, direct to metal), stains, varnishes, lacquers, and equipment
• Maintaining records for consumption use and reporting to AQMD
• Planning, layout, and re-stripping playgrounds, parking lots, and gymnasiums
• Maintaining signage
